Department of Applied Economics Core Areas of Research are Problems of regional development in Kerala, Industrial economics, Fishery economics, Environmental economics.
Department of Applied Economics (DAE) was envisaged primarily as a research oriented Department with its focus on applied economic problems. Situated in a Science and Technology academic environment, the Department promotes studies and research pertaining to the economic dimensions of science, technology and society and the economic problems of the region. The faculty of the Department have received international exposure through fellowships / awards tenable at overseas institutions.
